The Federal Polytechnic Bauchi, like many other educational institutions in Nigeria, has been grappling with the issue of unstable power supply for years. This lack of reliable electricity has greatly affected the learning and research activities of the students and faculty. It is therefore imperative that the institution takes urgent steps to address this issue by installing a stable and sustainable power supply system.

One solution to the problem of unstable power supply is the installation of a solar power system. Given the abundance of sunlight in Bauchi, harnessing solar energy to power the institution would not only provide a stable and reliable source of electricity but would also be a sustainable and environmentally friendly option. This solution would not only benefit the institution but would also serve as a model for other educational institutions to follow suit.

However, it is important to note that the power supply for the Gwallamaji community, where the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi is located, should be different from that of the institution. The community should also have access to a stable and reliable power supply, and any system installed should be designed to cater to the needs of both the institution and the surrounding community.

The federal government should also intervene in addressing the issue of non-stable power supply in educational institutions across the country. By providing funding and support for the installation of sustainable power supply systems, the government can significantly improve the learning environment for students and the working conditions for faculty and staff.

In conclusion, it is clear that the issue of unstable power supply at Federal Polytechnic Bauchi is a pressing concern that needs to be addressed urgently.
